International study programs developed and operated by the institution:
Henan University, Kaifeng, Henan, People’s Republic of China. Two
professors come to Lee each year. Lee sends students there for one semester
as requested.
Zhijiang University, Jinhua, Zhijiang, People’s Republic of China.
Student groups go there in the summer. One professor comes to Lee to complete
a Masters degree every two years.
Lee receives middle school teachers from Mongolia who come to study methodology
and to improve their English.
One student per year from Mongolia.
Poltava University, Poltava, Ukraine. One professor per year comes to
Lee for short-term study. Two faculty and a group of students go there
every summer.
Study Abroad Trips 2001-2002
Business internship in Paraguay
Students study with other students at the American University in Asuncion
and visit businesses in Paraguay, Brazil, and other countries. This trip
involves a home stay with a Paraguayan family.
Business and education in Russia
Students study at the Russian-American University in Moscow and visit
businesses in and around Moscow. Education students study the school system
in Russia.
England, Scotland, Ireland Study Tour
Students travel to these countries and study their history and/or government.
London, Paris and Munich: Communication and the Arts
Students tour various radio and TV stations in these cities and learn
about their approaches to mass media.
Hadassah Pediatrics/School Tour to Israel
This is primarily for special education students to learn how special
needs children are dealt with in Israel. This trip involves a service
project.
Israel Spring Break Trip
Students visit sites mentioned in the Bible and learn about biblical archaeology.
There is a service project associated with this trip.
Middle East Study Tour
Students on this trip visit the major historical sites in Egypt, Jordan,
and Israel. This trip involves students from other schools.
Northern European Art and Humanitites
Students visit the major museums and art galleries in Northern Europe.
Southeast Caribbean: Trinidad and Tobago
Students study the cultural and religious diversity of Trinidad and Tobago
for World Religion credit. The faculty sponsor of this trip is a native.
There are several service projects.
Summer of Studies in Medical Missions
Alumni doctors join Lee students for three weeks of clinical work in the
more remote areas of Central America. Students prepare intensively on
campus and assist in the clinic. The focus of this trip is service.
Summer of Studies in France (three groups)
This is a traditional language study trip except that it involves a service
project and a weeklong home stay in Paris. This also includes students
from other universities.
Summer Study in Ukraine
Students teach American history and culture to Ukranian students. They
also tour various businesses in and around Poltava.
Summer Teaching in China
Education majors teach English to classes of 25 Chinese middle school
students under the supervision of a Chinese teacher and assisted by a
Chinese university peer teacher.
Spanish in Chile
This is a typical language-learning trip except that it includes a service
project. The faculty sponsor is a native of Chile.
Spanish in Argentina.
This is a typical language-learning trip except that it includes a service
project. The faculty sponsor is a native of Argentina.
Science in the Galapagos Islands
Students will explore the evolution controversy and study biology on a
boat touring the Galapagos Islands. This will also involve a service project
among the churches on the islands.

Additional Comments:
Lee University has an extensive international program. Their commitment
to providing their students with an international experience is very strong.
